“For years my anxiety has caused me to miss many regular dental check ups. From childhood until now I’ve always dread going to the dentist because of bad experiences. I searched for a dentist for anxiety patients and True Dental came up. I did a lot of reading on their main page and it sounded too good to be true. My first visit was not what I had expected. I was greeted by Stacy at the front desk. She was really friendly and had me fill out some forms for being a new patient and she was happy to answer any questions that I had. After that was done, Kat took me to one of the rooms to answer some questions and to take some X-rays. Taking x-rays wasn’t as uncomfortable as the last time I was at the dentist which was years ago. One thing I didn’t expect to see was a tv in the ceiling. Kat told me they have Netflix which is good for kids and if you want to get your mind off what the dentist is doing. After Kat was done, Dr. Shin came in and asked me about my anxiety and any medications I was taking. He’s very friendly and understands my anxiety issues. He told me about a few sedation options that would help my anxiety. He did the examination and after he was done asked me one question, “what do I want?” He said put aside the cost and tell him what I want to have done. I’ve never had a dentist ask me that before, I’ve never had a dentist show interest in my personal well-being. I told him I want to eat food without pain or discomfort, I want to be able to smile and talk to people, and I wanted my confidence back. He told me I would need some major work done and would have to go through at least 4 visits. He told me he can do what I asked, but I’d have to put more effort to come see him on a regular basis and to not let my anxiety stop me from coming to see him. He also discussed what my insurance covers and what I would be paying out of pocket. Dental insurance only covers so much. He went over some payment options…yes they have payment plans and for what I was getting done mine was affordable. After discussing everything, Kat came in and asked me if I wanted to fill my goodie bag. Lol…it seems like everyone gets a goodie bag. She took me to the hallway and from what I saw looked like gumball machines, but they’re filled with toys for the kids and dental supplies. It looked like a mini candy store. After I filled my goodie bag, I saw Stacey to schedule 2 appointments. She gave me available dates and times and after everything was set, I was out the door. So my experience at True Dental was great, and it’s all thanks to Stacey, Kat, and Dr. Shin. Your compassion and hard work are truly appreciated, Thank you!!
To those reading this review, I highly recommend giving this place a try.”
